We are happy to bring virtual workshops across our communities, and collaborating with numerous perinatal professionals to make this happen. Our virtual workshops are aways free, and provides you with comfort-of-home access to quality perinatal support. Check back often for new additions & updates.
Birthinars are where we can come together to support birth, share birth stories, learn about birth in our culture, and understand our birth experiences in a positive light from home to hospital. Our Birthinars are held on the first Monday of every other month (even months: 2nd, 4th, 6th..etc.). They are from 8pm – 9pm EST where you may see presentations from our rotating presenters, and casually chat (by phone or text) about all birth-relate topics.
We will have a “presenter” at each meeting to start the discussion, but welcome open conversation. In past cultures, we learned about birth by talking about birth. We watched other women, and we cared for our community. Our virtual birthinars take off where our local Birth Socials stop. This provides us with the same support and eduction of our ancestors, fitting into today’s lifestyle.
Keep in mind:
This is a SAFE place. We support the Trust Birth beliefs.
You CAN support people without “supporting” their decisions.
This is a place where birth stories (from all walks of life) are shared. Some decisions and perspectives will differ from yours.
Hurtful comments will ABSOLUTELY NOT BE TOLERATED!
Keep in mind this is a social/support type atmosphere where many topics will be discussed. Just as you would use any other information as one step in your informed decisions process, always research the information you’ve obtained from all sources so you can make responsible, and complete, informed decisions for your specific situation.
Thank you so much for joining us and helping to normalize the birth process.
If YOU are interested in presenting/hosting an EB Birthinar, please e-mail mdbergum at esalibirth dot com. (Becoming an Esali Birth Perinatal Educators allows you first pick of hosting - but we welcome experienced birthers and birth professionals from all areas/groups to help make this happen!)
